Work at a help desk

Well, to start off, I decided today I more or less hate my job. Its always been Big Brother, but we had found some ways around it. They force us to use a Jabber client, but the heaviest version they could find. To counter this, our systems have roughly 256 ram (no lie). So a few of us started using a lighter version a few months ago. As it spread, we knew the impending doom would come with it. The more idiots were on it, the higher the chances of the bosses finding out. So while I was out on sick leave, the ball dropped. Everyone who got caught with it was written up. Not so much a big deal, but the company isn't doing so hot, so if they need to do lay offs, people like us are the first to go.

So anyway, my first day back and I got the write up that was waiting for me. On top of that, the proxy we were using is now too dangerous to use since they're watching a few of us like hawks. So the Jabber client won't connect to AIM, because they blocked that portion on their own servers.

Work is now a boring 9 hour day. I have no contact with the outside world. My web access is extremely restricted, pretty much can only get to Google.

------------------------------------------------------

On the plus side, while I was sick, I was able to level 2 characters to 60 and one to 46. Recruit-A-Friend is totally win. I've started a warrior/warlock duo for my next 60s, but I don't know if I'll actually follow through on it. I'm excited to have two opportunities to get healers to 80, last time I healed was at 70 on my druid.

Right now, I'm waiting for our raid to start. 10-man Ulduar tonight. I'm tanking. Not extremely exciting, but I want to see how it goes since the few nerfs in the last week. Flame Leviathan is a joke, but he's the only boss we've managed to get down, thus far.

More to come later, maybe.
